Marcos went into roofing at eighteen. He started with a roofing company as a laborer, outworked everyone around him, and was running a crew within a few years. He learned the trade the way it should be learned: on a roof, in the weather, from people who had been doing it for decades.

After several years leading crews, he started TopLine Pro Construction. Here is the part he does not bring up himself: the company he came up in still hires him to do their metal work. When a roofing company needs standing seam done right, they call the person they trained. Marcos runs the field side of the business and follows every project closely. He is on your roof, or on the phone with the crew lead about your roof, every day of your job. Over the last few years we have built out specialized crews for each area of the work, but the standard on every one of them is his.

Miriam came into the company from a background in banking and municipal administration, working in accounting and administrative roles before joining TopLine.

She runs the business side: estimates and contracts, scheduling, accounts, permits, insurance, and client communication from the first phone call through the final invoice. It was Miriam’s move into the business that let the two of them build the company as a family, with the standard set by both of them rather than by a payroll.
